This is the only truly permanent, tested method of hair removal when performed by a professional with considerable training and skill. An electric current is delivered via a thin metal probe to cause localized damage to the hair bulb. This probe is inserted into each and every hair follicle, without puncturing the skin. Now you can see why you need the skill! Its disadvantages are also obvious in that it is time consuming and tedious and so not really an option for large areas, it can also be painful.
Studies have shown that only 7% to 10% of users of this method did not experience satisfactory results ie permanent hair removal. This is not true when performed on yourself.
Home Electrolysis
Most professional practioners would not recommend this method as it is the skill of the operator that makes treatment successful and the ability to insert the probe into the follicle correctly that allows you to get the permanent results required. Not all home use units have probes that are even inserted into the follicle!
The advantages however are that you can treat yourself in privacy and save money. The disadvantages are that there is no substitute for training so it may take many attempts with the added risks of permanent and/or non-permanent skin damage.
