The first step to lining the eyes is making sure the skin tone around your eyes is even. If you apply liner to eyes that haven't been cleaned, moisturized, and "made up" with foundation and powder, the results will be less than perfect!
Gently start to line the outer corners of your eyes or what make-up artists call the "V" extending it slightly beyond the outermost corner. Then softly line the inner circle of your eye, tapering the line as it reaches the innermost corner.
Whatever medium you choose, make sure that your lines are even, unsmudged, and
do not run.
Dark, neutral colors will deepen your eyes; frosted, light shades
will make your eyes appear smaller and may make the "whites" of your eyes appear
less than white.
Pencil Pointers
For a really sharp point, leave your eyeliner in the freezer for a few minutes
before sharpening. You'll get great definition and more control from a better
tip.
