Johnna Pearcy

Johnna helped build the back bone of this site. She joined our team in 2005 as an intern with the long term goal of becoming a journalist. She was fundamental in the launch of this site and produced numerous articles. She established the site map and systemized the navigation which allows you to find what you want in a logical fashion.

Sadly Johnna died in a very tragic car accident on Christmas Eve 2005 but she will always be remembered as a valuable team member.

Livia Mercer

Livia has been in the beauty industry for over 10 years. Her love affair with cosmetics and beauty products began with her training and qualifying as a beauty therapist. Since then Livia has worked in beauty salons as well as owned her own hairdressing salon.

Livia has also worked for a number of cosmetics companies, as a sales assistant, counter manager, store manager, representative and trainer. Her insatiable appetite to learn new and experience new things has led her to this point of founding and editing her own magazine in order to help women make better informed choices in their purchasing decisions.

From her experience in dealing with women in search of skincare and makeup, it became evident that more education was needed in the marketplace. While cosmetics companies are attempting to do this at store level with makeup classes and skincare workshops, Livia felt that an unbiased non-threatening medium would cut through the hype and slick, polished marketing campaigns and tell it as it really is.
